The Supplier Quality Manager leads the development and execution of the company’s supplier quality strategy, ensuring all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging suppliers meet stringent food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. This role oversees supplier qualification, auditing, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives to safeguard product integrity and strengthen the end‑to‑end supply chain.
Supplier Quality Strategy & Governance
Develop and implement the supplier quality management framework, policies, and standards.
Establish risk‑based supplier segmentation and quality control plans.
Lead cross‑functional alignment on supplier quality expectations, specifications, and compliance requirements.
Supplier Qualification & Approval
Oversee the evaluation and onboarding of new suppliers through documentation review, capability assessment, and on‑site audits.
Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and ensure all certifications (HACCP, ISO, BRC, etc.) remain valid.
Collaborate with Procurement and R&D to assess supplier suitability for new products and innovations.
Audits, Compliance & Food Safety
Plan, execute, and report supplier audits covering food safety, GMP, hygiene, traceability, and process capability.
Ensure supplier compliance with local and international food safety regulations.
Lead verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and monitor closure effectiveness.
Quality Issue Management
Lead investigations into supplier‑related quality incidents, including contamination, foreign bodies, specification deviations, and delivery issues.
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Manage supplier non‑conformance processes and escalate critical risks to senior leadership.
