Supply Chain Director-Korean
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives, market dynamics, and production needs.
Lead cross‑functional supply chain teams across procurement, planning, logistics, and warehouse operations.
Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives.
2. Procurement & Supplier Management
Oversee sourcing of raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and indirect materials.
Manage supplier selection, negotiation, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation.
Coordinate closely with Korean suppliers and headquarters to ensure alignment on quality, pricing, and delivery.
3. Demand & Production Planning
Lead demand forecasting, production planning, and inventory optimization to ensure stable supply.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and manufacturing teams to align plans with market demand and capacity constraints.
Monitor planning KPIs such as forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory turnover.
4. Logistics & Distribution Management
Oversee domestic and cross‑border logistics, transportation, and distribution operations.
Ensure timely delivery, cost control, and compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
Optimize logistics networks and warehouse operations to support business expansion.
5. Quality, Compliance & Risk Control
Ensure all supply chain activities comply with food safety, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing and safety stock planning.
Support audits, certifications, and compliance programs.
6. Cross‑Functional & Global Collaboration
Serve as the key liaison between China operations and Korean headquarters.
Facilitate communication on supply planning, procurement decisions, product launches, and operational issues.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and localization projects with supply chain expertise.
7. Data, Systems & Process Optimization
Enhance supply chain visibility through ERP, planning tools, and digital dashboards.
Standardize processes, improve workflows, and strengthen data accuracy across the supply chain.
Use analytics to drive decision‑making and performance improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
10+ years of supply chain experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong expertise in procurement, planning, logistics, and supplier management.
Korean language proficiency required; English and Mandarin proficiency preferred.
Strong negotiation, communication, and cross‑cultural collaboration skills.
Experience working with Korean headquarters or Korean suppliers is highly desirable.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage complexity, and deliver operational excellence.
