Job Description – Global Supply Chain Director
Position Overview
The Global Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end global supply chain strategy and operations across multiple regions. This role oversees planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and supply chain excellence to ensure operational efficiency, cost competitiveness, and supply continuity. The position requires strong leadership, global mindset, and the ability to drive transformation in a complex, fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Global Supply Chain Strategy
Develop and execute the global supply chain strategy aligned with corporate goals and long‑term business growth.
Lead global network optimization, including manufacturing footprint, distribution models, and logistics flows.
Drive digital transformation initiatives across planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Identify global trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance supply chain resilience and competitiveness.
2. End‑to‑End Supply Chain Leadership
Oversee global demand planning, supply planning, S&OP/IBP processes, and inventory optimization.
Ensure seamless coordination across procurement, production, logistics, and customer fulfillment.
Lead global logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, 3PL/4PL management, and distribution strategy.
Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence across all supply chain functions.
3. Supplier & Partner Management
Develop global supplier strategies, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
Build a resilient and diversified supply base to mitigate risks and support business expansion.
Lead supplier development programs to improve quality, cost, delivery, and innovation capabilities.
Manage strategic partnerships with logistics providers, manufacturers, and technology vendors.
4. Financial & Performance Management
Own global supply chain P&L, including cost, service, inventory, and capital expenditure.
Deliver annual cost savings, productivity improvements, and working capital targets.
Establish and monitor global KPIs, dashboards, and governance mechanisms.
Ensure compliance with global policies, regulatory requirements, and ESG/sustainability standards.
5. Cross‑Functional & Regional Collaboration
Partner with Commercial, R&D, Operations, Finance, and Quality teams to support business priorities.
Lead global S&OP/IBP processes to align demand, supply, and financial planning.
Collaborate with regional supply chain leaders to ensure consistent execution and capability building.
Support new product launches, market expansions, and major transformation projects.
6. Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead and develop a global supply chain organization across multiple regions.
Build high‑performing teams and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Drive talent development, succession planning, and capability enhancement across the global supply chain function.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
12–18+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in multinational companies.
Proven track record in global supply chain strategy, network optimization, and large‑scale transformation.
Strong expertise in planning, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and S&OP/IBP.
Experience managing global teams and multi‑region operations.
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Ability to travel internationally as required.
